Sew Expo next month!

It’s been billed as the greatest sewing party and I would have to agree.    Over 30,000 women from all over the world attend.   It will blow your mind!   There are daily seminars, hands-on workshops, fashion shows, lots and lots of booths with everything from the latest fabric, notions, and equipment.   The show always runs at the end of February /early March and is located at the Washing State Fair Grounds in a small town called Puyallup,  located 5 miles east of Tacoma, Washington.  This year the show runs

February 28, March 1 - 3, 2013.
Puyallup Fair & Events Center
110-9th Avenue SW
Puyallup, WA 98371

Mom and I have been attending for 14 years it is anything but routine.  Of course you meet many old friends – Pati Palmer & Marta Alto for example.  But there are always new and exciting seminars and workshops to get you inspired.

This year I am taking may great seminars and workshops from the masters – Louise Cutting, Connie Crawford, Nancy Zieman, Lyle Messinger,  Jan Bones of course Pati and Marta to name just a few.  There are also many new and up and coming sewing  guru’s – Katrina Walker and Pamela Leggett ( who are also fellow Palmer/Pletsch Certified Sewing Instructors) to inspire you.

This is something that Mom and I look forward to all year.  The on-line brochure comes out in December and we spend many hours during Christmas holidays pouring over the brochure talking about all the potential classes.  The fun begins with trying to jam everything in the schedule.    There are so many great choices that I have decided to head down early this year and take in the pre-expo workshops on the Wednesday and stay on through Sunday to finish my final workshop.  5 days of seminars, workshops, fashion shows, booths – WOW, it will surely be exhausting but exhilarating!

Check it out www.sewexpo.com , you won’t be disappointed.

Sew looking forward to Sew Expo and sharing more about my adventure.
